Questions answered

Security services in Melbourne, explained simply.

What areas does JM Security Group cover?

We provide security services across Melbourne and regional Victoria, with 24/7 teams and fast-response deployment.

Are your security guards licensed and insured?

Yes. Every JM Security Group officer holds a current Victorian security licence, is fully insured, and has completed accredited security training.

How quickly can you deploy security to a site or event?

For emergency call-outs, we aim to respond within 2 hours across Melbourne. Standard bookings are usually scheduled within 48 hours of confirming the contract.

Do you offer short-term and long-term contracts?

Yes. We cover everything from one-off events to short construction jobs and multi-year site contracts with custom reporting built around your needs.

How do I get a custom quote for my site or event?

Call 03 9716 1160, email operations@jmsecuritygroup.com.au, or fill in the quote form on our contact page. Our team will get back to you with a tailored plan, usually within one business day.

How much does security guard hire cost in Melbourne?

It depends on the service, hours, location and risk level — static guarding, mobile patrols and event crowd control are all priced differently. Send us your site or event details through the quote form and we'll give you a fixed-rate estimate.

What's the difference between a security guard and a crowd controller?

A security guard is licensed for site protection, access control and patrols. A crowd controller holds a separate licence for managing crowds at licensed venues and events, including ID checks and refusing entry. We provide both, often on the same job.
